Live Scan is the modern, electronic alternative to traditional ink-and-roll fingerprinting. Instead of messy ink pads, your fingerprints are captured digitally using a specialized scanner and transmitted securely and instantly to the appropriate agencies.
In Florida, Live Scan fingerprinting is required for a wide range of employment, licensing, and volunteer background checks — submitted directly to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and/or the FBI.

Bring Your ORI & ID
Bring your ORI number (provided by your employer or agency), a valid government-issued photo ID, and any paperwork from your agency.

Important: We cannot assign ORI codes. The agency requesting your background screening must provide the correct ORI code before your appointment. Using the wrong ORI code may delay your application or require you to complete another fingerprint submission.

What Is an ORI Code?
An ORI (Originating Agency Identifier) Code is a unique code assigned to the agency requesting your Level 2 background screening. It tells the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) where your fingerprint results should be sent.
There is no public website to search for an unknown ORI code. Your employer or licensing agency must provide the correct ORI code for your application. Contact the appropriate agency below if you need assistance.

After Your Appointment
What to expect once your fingerprints are submitted.
Your TCN Number
Once your fingerprints have been submitted, you will receive a receipt containing your TCN (Transaction Control Number). This is your fingerprint transaction number — keep it for your records. Your employer or licensing agency may ask for this number to verify your fingerprint submission.
How to Check Your Fingerprint Status
- 1Locate your TCN number on your Live Scan receipt.
- 2Contact the agency requesting your background screening to verify they have received your results.
- 3If you need assistance with your fingerprint transaction, contact our office.
Please keep your receipt until your background screening process has been completed. If you lose your TCN receipt, contact our office as soon as possible at 772-266-3099.

Q.Do I need an appointment?
We welcome both walk-ins and appointments. Walk-ins are accepted Monday–Friday 9AM–5PM on a first-come, first-served basis. Scheduling an appointment is recommended to minimize wait time.
Q.Can I walk in?
Yes — walk-ins are welcome Monday–Friday 9AM–5PM. Weekend visits require an appointment. Scheduling ahead is always recommended so we can have everything ready for you.
Q.Do you accept online payments?
No. We do not accept online payments, and pricing is not listed online. A member of our team will contact you to confirm your appointment and provide pricing details.
Q.How long does the appointment take?
Most fingerprint appointments take approximately 10–15 minutes.
Q.What should I bring?
A valid government-issued photo ID, your ORI Code, and any forms provided by your employer or licensing agency.
Q.What if I don't know my ORI Code?
Please contact the agency requesting your background screening before scheduling your appointment. We cannot assign ORI codes — the agency requesting your background screening must provide the correct ORI code.
Q.Can Embracing Love Home Care give me an ORI Code?
No. ORI codes are assigned by the requesting employer, licensing board, or state agency. Please contact the appropriate agency listed on this page.
Q.What if I lose my TCN receipt?
Contact our office as soon as possible. We will do our best to assist you using your appointment information and direct you to the appropriate agency or fingerprint vendor if additional assistance is needed.
